As part of WG2 in the CA 18236 SHIINE, academics and researchers mapped higher education programmes and initiatives across European countries that are supported by social finance, civil and community engagement. We collected several case studies that demonstrate the complexities and challenges of making social change happen through social finance and community engagement. The WG2 meeting hosted by University of Reykjavik, Iceland offered us an opportunity to discuss the cases, learn from each other and come up with new ideas that advance understanding of the topic. This collection of selected cases can be read here.

The following topics were covered:

Social innovation education and Vaxandi, the center for social innovation at the Faculty of Social Work University of Iceland by prof Steinunn Hrafnsdóttir

WG2 meeting plan by prof Carmen Paunescu
