The topics regarding social innovation and the communities were explored on 10-12 May 2022 in the training school organised by Dr.Shane O’Sullivan from the Department of Applied Social Sciences, Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest
Our COST action member – Dr. Paulina Budrytė (Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania), shares her impressions about SHIINE Training School in Limerick, which was held this spring in Ireland.’Training School in Limerick was an inspiring adventure – intensive, informative, and well organized. After endless zoom-meetings imposed by COVID-19 pandemics, it was inspiring to have live discussions and case visits to the places. Everybody learned much about Limerick and Ireland in just a few days. Yet, we learned even more about social innovations and the role of universities as the drivers of social innovations. We had lengthy debates about social enterprises, their purposes, and deliveries. However, most importantly, I believe this meeting will flourish in new partnerships and collaborations between youth researchers around Europe’.
