 The International Social Innovation Research Conference (ISIRC) is the world’s leading interdisciplinary social innovation research conference. The conference brings together scholars from across the globe to discuss social innovation from varied perspectives. ISIRC 2020 will be hosted by Sheffield University Management School, and the Centre for Regional Economic and Enterprise Development (CREED). It will run September 1-3, 2020, with the conference venue the Crowne Plaza, Royal Victoria in Sheffield city center. The conference theme is ‘Social innovation and enterprise for more prosperous, fair and sustainable societies’. This theme aligns with the world- leading impactful research being undertaken by members of CREED, and reflects the important role we see for social innovation and enterprise in creating more prosperous, fair and sustainable societies around the world.  Immediately after the ISIRC conference, on September 4, we will be organizing our next cost management committee meeting.

Deadlines: Abstract and panel proposals submission closes: 20th March 2020

 

If you are our COST action paticipant, you have  the following options: 

  • If you are our COST action network member, management committee member, or substitute member and want to attend the full three daysof the conference, you will be able to do so at the student rate https://isircconference2020.com/registration/ (whatever your status) and we will  provide your with a code to input when registering. This fee cannot be covered by the COST Action for any Cost Action members.
  • If you are our COST action network member, management committee member, or substitute member and you are only able to attend on Thursday, 3rd of  September, we will be able to offera special day rate of £150 for attending our own special stream (mini-hackathon). There will be a  registration option for SHIINE on the ISIRC website. This fee cannot be covered by the COST Action for any Cost Action members.
  • If you wish to present a paper in any of the existing conference streams, you will need to register for the full three days. 
  • Our Cost Action will only cover travel and accommodation for two nights for the management committee members/substitutes. The management committee event itself will be on September 4 and will conclude early enough for return travel on the same day. The official invitation for this will come in May as it occurs in the next budget period.
